WL BANK is a “Great Place to Work” and moreover awarded as "Top Company" by kununu. For we are among the 100 best employers in Germany. This is what the jury of the Great-Place-to-Work Institute has said, as well as many independent experts, including from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the New Quality of Labour Initiative (Initiative Neue Qualität der Arbeit, INQA), the University of Cologne, the Handelsblatt and the personalmagazin. The good ranking in this nationwide competition shows: Our corporate culture is characterised by fairness, respect, and credibility. Not just on paper, but in everyday reality.
1. "Top Company" and "Open Company" by kununu
kununu is the leading platform for employer reviews in German-speaking countries. The positive ratings by our employees confirm that we are doing a good job as an employer, too. The "Top Company" award distinguishes employers that are concerned about the well-being of their employees and are rated accordingly well by employees. Likewise, we were also awarded the "Open Company" seal for the proactive approach to our employees.
2. Great Place to Work Award: High Employee Satisfaction
André Krabbe, Human Resources Manager of WL BANK, and his team accepted the award in Berlin on 5 March 2015, with pride in what has been achieved with hard work. But also with gratitude for the convincing vote by their colleagues. For the top marks we received from our staff form the most important basis for the certificate as one of the best employers! More than 80 percent of our employees filled out a questionnaire for the competition. Anonymously, of course! And almost all of them gave WL BANK exceedingly high marks.
Daily Corporate Culture
The second part of the competition: A culture audit that examines the daily corporate culture. What counts here are hard facts: old-age provision, health management, family friendliness, equality in everyday life, advanced training, support in personal crisis situations. The audit shows: WL BANK’s employees benefit from an attractive, employee-oriented corporate culture.
Momentum for Sustainable Improvements
Rank 42 in the group of awarded companies with 50 to 500 employees in our second year of participation – we could be very satisfied with that. But there is still potential for improvement. Maybe in one of the next competitions – but certainly within the Bank. Therefore, the results are being discussed with our colleagues. What do we need to change? What proposals come from the corresponding departments? Together we are looking for pragmatic solutions for sustainable improvements – and implement them.
And that is another advantage of the “Great Place to Work” at one of the best employers in Germany!
